I use a type of biofeedback that is an interactive computer program to help children, adolescents, and adults receive immediate information about their bodies using sensors attached to their fingers. Biofeedback provides visual displays of your physiological responses (i.e., heart rate and skin changes) to help guide you in using breathing and muscle relaxation techniques to help reduce your “fight or flight” stress responses and also lower your heart rate.
Biofeedback can help clients manage:
- Anxiety or Stress
- Asthma
- Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Chemotherapy Side-Effects
- Chronic Pain
- Constipation
- Fecal Incontinence
- Fibromyalgia
- Headaches
- High Blood Pressure
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome
- Migraines
- Motion Sickness
- Raynaud’s Disease
- Stroke
- Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMJ)
- Tinnitus (Ringing in the ears)
- Urinary Incontinence
